格鲁斯特大学成立于1847年，拥有150多年的历史。19世纪、20世纪格鲁斯特地区的许多学院合并在一起于2001年形成了一所现代大学。
英国格鲁斯特大学(Univerity of Glouceterhire)位于美丽的切尔滕那姆的摄政城和格鲁斯特市中，距离伦敦希思罗机场100英里，距离BRISTOL和 BIRMINGHAM大约50英里，乘汽车1个小时左右。每年，爵士节、文化和音乐吸引了来自世界各地的人们。那里有华丽的购物中心、饭店、俱乐部、酒吧、舞厅，以及一些适合不同兴趣的运动和文化设施，是一个理想的学生学习之地。

格鲁斯特大学的历史可以追溯到1847年，至今它仍保持着基督教的传统，但也同时欢迎其他不同宗教背景的学生。格鲁斯特大学的规模适中，既能保持友好的气氛，又有很多有趣之处。四个校区更是风格各异，既有获奖的现代化建筑，也有传统的校舍。
格鲁斯特大学的国际学生来自亚洲、欧洲和非洲的28个国家，如中国、日本、挪威和南非等。他们在该校学习包括英语语言到本科和研究生等各种水平的课程。
格鲁斯特大学位于英国西南地区的Cotwold。拥有四个校园。学生可以乘坐免费校车自由来往于四个校园之间。格鲁斯特距离伦敦2小时的路程，距离伯明翰40分钟的路程，距离布里斯托尔40分钟的路程，距离牛津40分钟的路程。
城市介绍
切尔滕纳姆是宁静和诱人的城镇，有居民十万多人。它位于格罗斯特郡，周围是自然风景异常美丽、每年吸引全球六百多万游人的科茨伍尔兹（Cotwold）地区。切尔滕纳姆镇地理位置居中，离各个大城市都不算太远，如与伦敦的相距路程为两个小时、伯明翰40分钟、布里斯托尔40分钟和卡迪夫一个小时。
格罗斯特市是本校最新的校园Oxtall的所在地。Oxtall是英国最佳的新建体育教育中心之一。格罗斯特市是英国最早修建的罗马城市之一（它的罗马名字为&lquo;Glerum&rquo;），每年，它吸引了成千上万的游人来观赏中世纪时期的大教堂，以及保存良好的十八世纪码头区。格罗斯特市主办多种艺术与文化活动，如每年举行的Cajun与Blue节，还有艺术馆电影院、户外剧场、舞蹈表演和演艺班等活动。
大学的四个校园风格各异
The Park Campu Cheltenham
Cheltenham校园主要是商学院所在地。拥有现代设备装备的教学中心，演讲中心和辅导教室。校园的学生村能够提供5幢学生公寓，毗邻学习中心，食堂和学生会的商店和酒吧。
Franci Cloe Hall Campu (FCH) Cheltenham
人文学，教育，环境和社会科学集中在FCH校园。不同学科的学生之间可以进行学术和生活交流。校园拥有许多设施，如网络技术设施，图书馆，实验室，设计室，教学园，植物园，食堂，学生会，小教堂和体育中心。
Pittville Campu Cheltenham

Oxtall Glouceter

学术实力
格鲁斯特大学的研究生和本科生课程采用单元授课方式，为学生的学习提供了多种选择。本科生学位由各个独立的单元构成，使学生可以灵活选择自己喜欢的学习领域，例如多媒体和营销学的复合课程。
设施
每个校区都有一个学习中心，配置了图书馆、视听和信息技术设施（包括多媒体和互联网设施）。学习中心是获取信息的门户，所有设施均免费向学生开放。
90多位经过培训的教师，能为各个学习项目提供专业支持并回答学生提出的任何问题。各个校区内的开放学习中心都开设了语言、书写和计算技巧的学习。
除了学习设施，格鲁斯特大学还拥有完善的运动设施。这些设施包括一个配备最新器材的健身房、游泳池、网球场和多功能室外设施。
如果学生对艺术感兴趣，学校还有丰富的校园文化生活，经常有来访的艺术家来校访问演出，还有享有国际声誉的艺术家和艺术史学家来校演讲。
住宿
大学的住宿办公室负责管理校园公寓并为学生提供住宿信息，包括学校宿舍，学校管理的私人住宅和寄宿家庭。90％以上的一年级外地新生都能够申请到校园公寓。国际学生更有优先权。
校园生活
进入大学不仅是为了学习，也是享受大学生活。所有的全日制和兼职学生都将自动成为学生会的成员。学生会在大学生活中扮演十分重要的角色，为学生提供许多发展的机会，如就业，娱乐，体育和各种社团组织。
大学国际办公室从国际学生申请入学开始至其学习结束，一直为他们提供帮助，是国际学生的信息中心。国际办公室全年组织各类社交活动，例如圣诞节晚会、春节晚会、挪威国庆日和教堂年度茶会等，还为新生组织新生入学指导课程。
格鲁斯特大学拥有许多社团，包括基督教联合会、戏剧、环境意识、地理、地质、历史、休闲和旅游、音乐、户外活动和旅行等等。
